Intersectional Environmentalist
Intersectional Environmentalist is a millennial-focused environmental group that advocates for the protection of people and planet. I was approached by founder Leah Thomas to create a visual voice for her new organization under a tight deadline. The final design centers a simple, universally accessible icon representing interconnectivity, along with a typographical nod to the funky grassroots origin of Earth Day (April 22, 1970) and the dawn of mainstream environmental activism. According to Marshall Bright via Mic News, “[Leah] Thomas and the rest of the operators of Intersectional Environmentalist have been able to grow the page to over 100,000 followers in a short period of time…(with) the use of bright, attractive graphics.”
